WELCOME to our Shul at the International Jewish Community, Our Shul – Yiddish for Synagogue – is a place of warmth and acceptance, a place of prayer and study, a home for anyone – adult and child, affiliated or unaffiliated, irrespective of Hebrew Reading skill – to connect to their Jewish community. OUR STYLE defies easy categorization. We run a traditional service, with reading in Hebrew (from prayer books with accompanying English translation). At the same time, prior knowledge isn’t assumed at all, and a typical group includes people who presently have little Jewish connection. One of our deifying characteristics is our “come as you are” attitude. Everyone is welcome, irrespective of his or her background or beliefs. WE INVITE you to join us in Shabbat or Holyday service, meaningfully experience a lifecycle event, or just connect with your people, you’ll be welcome with open arms.
